Law firm

The law office can look back on a long history. It follows the legacy of the law firm established at the Federal Court of Justice in 1953 by Dr. Georg Greuner and later continued by Dr. Oliver Brändel and Götz Jordan. From 2000 to 2019, it operated with partners Götz Jordan and Dr. Reiner Hall, then as a sole practice Dr. Reiner Hall, and since July 2025 as a partnership with partner Arne Quast.

As lawyers admitted to the Federal Court of Justice, we practice in all areas of civil law. Our focus is on business law (including intellectual property rights). Our expertise in this area is particularly sought after by clients, which include numerous leading companies from Germany and abroad.

Characteristics

Our goal is to achieve the best possible result for every case entrusted to us. To this end, we set the highest quality standards for our work and, wherever possible, maintain exchange with our lower court colleagues. Our clients and appellate colleagues appreciate this: Our law firm has many years of collaboration with numerous outstanding lawyers, and our regular clients include renowned banks and savings institutions, infrastructure companies, leading German automobile manufacturers, insolvency administrators, and insurance companies. We invest the same intensity for those clients who might bring a case to the Federal Court of Justice only once in a lifetime.

Emphases

Due to our exclusive admission, we are generally only active in proceedings before the Federal Court of Justice, primarily in revisions, complaints against denial of leave to appeal, and legal complaints, as well as appeals in patent nullity proceedings. In the proceedings we handle, we are constantly dealing with the subject areas of all civil senates of the Federal Court of Justice, with a special focus on the following areas of law:

  • Banking and capital market law
  • Antitrust law
  • Trademark and patent law
  • General contract law
  • Trade and company law
  • Energy law
  • Insolvency law
  • Real estate law
